Casey is currently studying to receive her MA in Learning, Design, and Technology from Georgetown University. She will graduate in May 2020. Outside of her studies, she is the Assistant Director for Admissions at Georgetown University School of Medicine where she specializes in recruitment and retention. She also works closely with the Office of Diversity and Inclusion to specifically recruit underrepresented students and her goal is to create a network of individuals committed to learning best recruitment practices for underrepresented in medicine (URIM) applicants. This website hosts some of the work Casey has completed in her Master’s Program and through her fellowship. She also hopes this website can be a location to find more information about creating an equitable admissions process and can be a space for educators and administrators to convene and discuss this topic openly.
Casey began her career in higher education as undergraduate student at Georgia Institute of Technology. She worked with the Dean of Students to help teach an introductory course to freshman and also worked with the Office of Admissions. Before taking on her role in the Office of Admissions at GUSOM, she worked in the Office of Student Affairs.
